I plan on majoring in musical theater in college… but would like to produce, write and director/choreograph or possibly perform in shows for weddings, parties etc. Like something you’d see on a cruise ship - or showboat sort of entertainment! Is there such a thing??? How do i prepare for that job???

I am starting a business with a friend and we are both in our 30’s. The business will be party and event planning. We are looking for a snappy, sharp tag line.

I am 13 and having a party combined with 3 other girls. We decided it would be Hawaiian themed, but other than that, nothing. I was wondering how you guys begin the party process. I don’t really want specifics for my party, but in general. Thanks in advance.

P.S. - If you are good at the party planning, please e-mail me and maybe we can talk more specific.

I have long wanted to start my own party planning business specifically for kids…complete theme experiences from the cake to the decorations, games and crafts. I have experience with my nieces’ and nephews’ birthdays and as an Activities Director for our church (for both adults and kids) and have recieved rave reviews…but how do I really get the word out? As parents, would this be something you would be interested in for your kids? I’ve checked around and a lot of the party planning places here charge about $15/hr - that seems like an awful lot to me…what do you guys think? I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

I found great green party planning tips from this article and some others http://www.celebratewithstyle.com/site/DisplayArticleEcoFriendlyParties
I want to raise some eco awareness (sort of a “party for a cause”) using eco-friendly party decor, food, etc. but still very elegant and classy. This way guests will see that you don’t have to sacrifice style to live green.

This will be a cocktail party :) so I need some “green” appetizers and maybe some beverages
