Just my opinion asked:

my son is 9 and never gets invited to other kids b-day parties. During parent/teacher conference times, his teachers have always said that he is very likable and has lots of friends…. never alone at recess time or at lunch table. He has yet to get invited to one party this year. For his birthdays, he always flies to visit his father in California so HE never gets to have a party to invite other kids to (his choice to fly). Could this be why?

I am hosting a big party for my daughters 5th birthday. We will have around 20 adults in attendance with thier children. The kids will be busy with games, but I don’t trust the grown ups to mingle for 2 hours. Last time I tried that it was akward, nobody talked to each other. The party is inside a large one room building, and I would love to have some semi-structured activities for adults as well…any ideas????

Simply put….can you think of any unique name for a party planning business? It will start with planning birthdays, baby showers, anniversary parties and eventually go into doing wedding planning.

How much influence should outside parties have on kids?

It is obvious to me by watching TV that sex, drugs, violence in movies, tv, video games is a normal way of life. I personally hate when i’m watching a movie or tv and something is censored out. I know it is a way to keep certain things hidden or away from kids. My question is, what role should parents take in the censoring of material with their kids, and how much influence should outside parties have on the censoring for the kids sake?

Personally I don’t want to watch or listen to a song where have the stuff is censored, parents should keep control of their kids and not blame it on the Industries.

My friend and I have had a long interest in starting a catering and party planning business. Without taking huge financial risks at this point in time, how does one get started in this business in order for it to lead to a steady part-time or eventually full-time career?

I sent out invites to my 3 yr old party and have received 2 RSVP’s that they are coming and 1 that is not coming. I invited 20+ kids. I know there is no mathematical formula or statistics on my question ,lol, but I am trying to get a good idea of what people think from experience. Do you think some may show without RSVP-ing???
