I am planning a hip hop party for February of ‘09 and I am still coming up with ideas and themes for the party. I want to make a list of things that will help me stay on task and a list of things that I should be considering for the party. I will except any and all ideas. Thank You–in advance–for any suggestions!

Kelli A asked: I’m planning a Christmas party for the youth at my church. I need some tips on affordable and whimsical decorations. I was thinking about buying some of those styrofoam cones and decorating them with wrapped candies as table centerpieces.
One aspect of the party that I don’t have to worry about it food. The parents of the children will be preparing dishes, bringing party platters, and bringing drinks. I guess my biggest concern is trying to make this the most memorable and magical party for them.
What kind of entertainment or games or crafts should I have?
Should I have some kind of party favor?
Please help!

Dezi asked: I am interested in doing party planning. It wouldn’t be my main source of income, just a little something on the side. I really enjoy planning parties, everything from picking out themes, buying supplies, and decorating. Several people have said that I would be a good party planner because i am so creative. But I have no idea how I get started?
Should I just post flyers at local businesses advertising it? Or do I need to get a special ‘license’ or something in order to do it? Please, any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
