I would just simply ask her how she’d like to make arrangements. If you aren’t living near her, you are limited as to what planning you can actually do. Talk to her & make a plan.

Yes, I think you should help with the planning. But, involve the drive. Let her know that you are there to support making this a special day. She will understand that you are somewhat limited due to the distance.
